Initial Ideas

My Theme for this project is going to be SPACE

I have chosen to explore this theme because space is all about univer that the place for living life and the place of mystery.


My interpretation of this is

  • In this theme I want to show the viewer the mystery of space that everyone have believe in god . So what I want the viewer to feel is in the word between mystery and beauty.

The Artist’s I have chosen are

  • Breno Bitencourt , Dan Winters and FAUGET. I have chosen them because of their style of editing that have both mystery and beauty on it own and some of use of colour pick from Dan Winters.

My first link is a webpage about moon the model of the moon how it look like


I have chosen my second link because it give me the ideal of the model and picture of how it might going to look like.

My third link looks at the shooting star as it also romantics for some people of stay with the person you love and watch it together.

Introduction

  • I have chosen to study the photographer, Breno Bitencourt
  • I picked them because of the un unit style of picture it make me want to know how it turn out of the theme I pick.

Analysing a piece of their of work:

  • The subject matter of the work to the right is the mix of picture and cartoon style
  • Bitencourt has paid particular attention to Compositional Rules in this work, as they have intentionally used picture as to edited in any side of the work.
  • The effect of using this is to edit the style that he use of.
  • Bitencourt has also used the Formal Elements of colour of background and in front to pick out the colour that they want.
  • The effect of using this is to get the picture of the closer of what they want.

Technical analysis:

  • I think that this work was probably taken using light because to get detail of picture .
  • The artist has used studio/nature lighting. The direction of the light is coming from any side of the subject's .
  • The shadows in the work are sharp so they have not used a filter to create soft light.

  • The work has been edited in Photoshop to create the triangle of the colour of those picture.
  • In this work the camera has been focused on the the face or model more than background.
  • The artist has used a medium Aperture to create a medium Depth of Field. I can tell this because they have not thing spacial about it


  • I can tell that Breno Bitencourt have used any pictures that have find to make it in to cartoon style as there are many colours that have been added in but had show so people know what it is while it be use a lot of triangle for each photo to editing them each that use a lot of time to do it we can see this in edge of cheek of women on the left for example.

What Kind of Mood does the photo have?

  • I think the work feels mystery. The artist has created this mood by glictch art that giving out unknow identity of people .
  • The colours used in the work are depending of photo but most are use very colourful but some art work also use dark colour as well.
  • these also art that call glitch are that use triangle to make the picture look unreal that it not really use pictures to make that.

What was the Photographer’s intent?

  • From first looking at it, I thought the work was about identity of people.
  • When Googling Bitencourt’s work, I have found that they made this work because glictch art that he talk about visual identity.

Introduction

  • To respond to the work of Breno Bitencourt , I intend to take photo of my models and edit in photoshop in the same way as Breno Bitencourt.
  • My work will link to my artist because I will also do the triangle colour that come from colour and light same as my artist.
  • I will need model with the clothes that be look fancy and the prop as for the planet model because to link the theme that are space and the background that going to be black colour to present the space that are black.
  • The equipment I need will be studio light and black colour background because the light is to present the light that came from the sun and black colour background is to present the space.
  • I will use the Compositional Rules and Formal Elements of symmetry and centre eye dominant by set the model in the way that in the centre of picture all the forces that want to be see
  • Doing this will link to my theme because the unknow see that can be know real face of the person.

I have change brightness of picture to be little dark then I have cut background to change the colour to grey then I have make another layer to put the blue colour on top and put in soft light to mix in with the photo before make another layer with cut tools to make triangle and get the eyedropper tool to get the colour before use paint buckets tool to put colour in that space then do this the same to hold picture (the be careful is that need to look after is the cure of clothes that some can make the same or big triangle.)

  • I picked them because of the use of colour that have be use in the picture as mix of green and grey colour that have be pick out.

  • The subject matter of the work to the right is older women with black long dress and how the wall peeling that can be see at the first sight.
  • Winters has paid particular attention to Compositional Rules in this work, as they have intentionally used contrast between background and subject and the model choice of clothes that pick to wear in each photo.
  • The effect of using these is that can be seen model and background are not when in with each other that have show in the dress that be standing out from background that is grey colour that be show.
  • Winters has also used the Formal Elements of texture , colour and from of light.
  • The effect of using these is to know easy is the colour that show in photo that like the green colour and the texture that are from the background that can be see this also make model look more standing out.

Technical analysis:

  • I think that this work was probably taken using lighting and filter because the light that make model look shine but filter also make everything quite dark green but and look as green black colour.
  • The artist has used studio lighting. The direction of the light is coming from the subject's left .
  • The shadows in the work are soft so they have used a filter to create soft light.

  • The work has been edited in Photoshop to create light and colour of green light on the photo with dark colour surrounding the model.
  • In this work the camera has been focused on the model.
  • The artist has used a small Aperture to create a long Depth of Field. I can tell this because the background can be see from the model.


  • I can tell that Winters has also used a fast Shutter Speed because photo is not burry.
  • It would have been best for them to use a small ISO like 100 to take this work because of the dark light and model can be very shine on the photo.

What Kind of Mood does the photo have?

  • I think the work feels spooky . The artist has created this mood by colour of photo that be show as green dark of the photo.
  • The colours used in the work are blue and green colour that are dark.
  • What effect do these colour choices have on the person looking at the work?
  • The people emotion that on the photo are body language that are change in the way of creepiness that I can’t descried in the way some look sad but body language is not sad.

  • When Googling Winters’s work, I have found that they made this work because he have inspired by street photography.

  • My work will link to my artist because I will also make the colour of photo the same and the light the same as the artist that is dark and green as the artist did.
  • I will need people for my model as it same as artist take picture as the artist take photo by using person.
  • The equipment I need will be studio light and black colour background because I will need it to be the same as the dark colour that had been make in the photo and studio light to shine the model to make model stand out.
  • I will use the Compositional Rules and Formal Elements of contrast between background and subject by take photo of model but also photo of background that can be see.
  • Doing this will link to my theme because the colour of background is black and the model is sine that can be link to space because of colour that be chosen

Introduction​


To respond to the work of FAUGET, I intend to take and edit photos in Photoshop and edit my own magazines. My work will link to my artist because I will also use the same style of the word that be use and light colour . I will need people to model in theme of space , objects to photograph is going to be the one that related to space this is because the theme I pick is space and I need it as kind of unknow character .The equipment I need will be Studio Lighting, black Background this is because the space the image that most people think is black colour in the wider space but also believe there is person who control the world as god the light is to presenting as a sun.

Technical analysis:

  • I think that this work was probably taken using light and filters because to get the beautiful sunset and the filter is make picture more beautiful in people eyes .
  • The artist has used natural lighting. The direction of the light is coming from the subject's top left.
  • The shadows in the work are soft so they have used a filter to create soft light.

  • The work has been edited in Photoshop to create the text that be added in and word that to sell their product however it to create the light of picture from each to .
  • In this work the camera has been focused on the beauty of person(women)
  • The artist has used a medium Aperture to create a Shallow Depth of Field. I can tell this because the background can be see but the model is more out stand from the background.


  • I can tell that FAUGET has also used a Fast Shutter Speed because it not burly the photo of it and it also a very focused photo.
  • It would have been best for them to use a small ISO like 100 to take this work because it a balance photo that are show is bright of photo and do not have noise picture on it.

  • I think the work feels dream-like. The artist has created this mood by the light and model clothes of choice

  • What effect do these colour choices have on the person looking at the work?
  • The people in the photo are look very beautiful that couldn’t take eyes of with the light that have effect in to help with the beauty of the person.

  • When Googling FAUGETs work, I have found that they made this work because it magazine company that are sell clothes with the fashion in that season of the year .

  • To respond to the work of FAUGET, I intend to take photo of my model and edit in the photoshop.
  • My work will link to my artist because I will also use the text same as them in the photo that I edit with make be similar of the word and where it been put in.
  • I will need people to model for me with planet earth prop because to go on the theme that I have be pick but in style of FAUGET.
  • The equipment I need will be using the background and light studio because to get the closes light as possible as the magazine.
  • I will use the Compositional Rules and Formal Elements of centre eye dominant by get the eye centre closer as possible as the clothes is been keeping close.

My Three Edits

Edit 1

I have change the brightness of photo by 90 and contrast by 17 to make my picture brighter but contrast is more sharp. then I have add the FAUGET headline on the top then make it big as the magazine (with the colour white) then I add the white box that make it in to line under the FAUGET and add word as April 2024 is the mount and year that this photo be edit in .

Edit 2

I have change the brightness of picture to 115 and contrast at -24 this is because the picture that have be token is dark so it need to be more bright then i have add the box that are white colour to make a line. The FAUGET is big in 165pt this is because it head line of magazine and add the word as weekly Magazine and if we can see I have write the inspiration where it came from I write the theme i make in as space.

I have change the brightness of picture to 23 and contrast at -13 . then I have add the text of FAUGET but this time with black colour and make the box that be fill with black colour that be put in many way of the magazine this is see it of the line that I’m put.

First I change the brightness of photo

green wall and use filter to make green of the photo as well.

In my second Development I am happy with the FAUGET and how it turn out.

I will improve in my Practice Final Piece by make all the body triangle and may put more word to make it more like magazine beauty

Final Outcome

First I have change the brightness of photo to 78 with contrast of -28 then I cut out the background with that I have go and check to delete the thing that still stay in the black bit after that I have make the background colour blue and green in the back and add the rectangle fill with green on top in another layer before make it into with the soft light . Next I used the selecting tool to make it triangle and use eyedropper to selecting colour and use buckets to fill the selecting tools all it do this the same till get all I need. After it have done I left the black part to add picture of star instead that are space I also add in water of the earth.
